You know, for anyone out there who is living through something similar to what I went through, I realize how everything is so easily accessible these days through the internet.
You can pretty much get any kind of information off of YouTube. it s so reassuring, to be able to watch from the comfort of your home, others who have posted and shared their experiences with loosing their hair.
I consider myself no different, lately, I have been impressed with the openness that people in my environment talk about wigs, it's a fashion thing, or kind of!!
You can purchase wigs for much cheaper and the types and quality are so vast, it's somewhat intimidating t first.
The first step is to establish what your needs are, because, if it's alopecia, it's long term, so this is an investment. There is synthetic wigs and real human hair wigs, so it's important to know if you want a wash'n wear or if you will be grooming it just like your own hair.
I did the human hair at first because I wanted something that looked just like my very own hair. I took a photo in to the wig shop and they created a wig that was a replica of my own hair so that nobody at work could tell.
As time went, by, I tried the synthetic and loved it for it's convenience factor!!!
