Soon after all my hair fell out, which took no more than two weeks, I had a very hard time adjsuting (no shit) to having no hair.
I had the weirdest dreams about loosing my wig, or it being blown off my the wind, or getting stuck in the bus doors or elevator door etc.
I would wake up and feel for my hair and get a shock every time, just to remember thatr I HAD NO HAIR...it was maybe a year before the idea finally sunk in for real.
Afer a couple years of having the smoothet bald, shiny head I have ever seen, there was something sprouting from my scalp. My bald head turned into a fuzzy peach with blond fuzz. This growth (to me seemed like growth), gave me new excitement and the idea, or possibibily of hair growing back began to haunt me.
As I did research on corisone injections and all kinds of imaginable alternative therapies, creams and remedies, I realized that this fuzzy hair growth was in no way a sign that hair would ever grow back.,.. I was once again left with a major let down. Almost falling into, yet another depression, I would not let myself be miserable for having hope, mere hope.
But truth of the matter is, my hair will never grow back and I am ok with that!
